The charity evening began with a two course meal and was followed by the drawing of the raffle by special guest, Paul Merson.

Ian Johnson from Crosby on Merseyside won high street vouchers to the value of £1,000 whilst Lynn Roberts from Rhosmeirch on Anglesey received kitchen and bathroom vouchers valued at £3,000. However, the top raffle prize of a brand-new Vauxhall Vivaro van was won by Dennis ‘Stan’ Roberts from Ty Croes on Anglesey.

Following the draw, ex-Arsenal, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa, and England player, Paul Merson, entertained guests as he recalled his professional football career.

He was followed by a bumper charity auction featuring several prizes, such as a week-long stay at a Lanzarote villa donated by Snowie Heritage Bricks.

The auction raised almost £9,000 for Huws Gray’s nominated charities before the evening ended as comedian, Gary Skyner, entertained guests.

Eluned Yaxley, senior area fundraiser for Hope House Children’s Hospices, said: “We’d like to thank Huws Gray for a fantastic evening, we thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a special event. We’re very grateful for Huws Gray’s commitment throughout 2015 and the significant amount raised on the night will help us care for seriously ill children and their families.”

Dafydd Hughes, one of the event organisers, added: “The evening was a huge success with all guests thoroughly enjoying the entertainment. We would like to thank our suppliers for celebrating our anniversary with us and for their support over the whole year during our open days and fundraising activities. It’s been a very special year for us as a company.”

The charity fundraising evening was Huws Gray’s final fundraising event of the company’s busy marketing calendar. The company have organised over twenty events during 2015 to mark the special 25th anniversary milestone.
