Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
The ink barely dry on its purchase of Ridgeons, acquisitive builders merchant group Huws Gray have bought another: Stoke on Trent based Audley Builders Merchants Ltd.
This acquisition will see Huws Gray opening its third site in Staffordshire further strengthening their presence in the area.
Audley Builders Merchants (Company) Ltd was started by former Stoke City Director Maurice Nield in 1969 as an expansion of his successful transport business founded in 1954.
Huws Gray managing director Terry Owen said: “Following the transformational acquisition of Ridgeons Ltd at the beginning of October we are delighted to complete this recent acquisition of the well-established Audley Builders Merchants Ltd. We look forward to building on the fantastic work that the previous owners have done here.”
