The Howarth Timber Group celebrated its 175th anniversary in style with a dinner for its suppliers and staff in Manchester on Thursday evening (26th February).
More than 200 guests, including suppliers, industry leaders and journalists, attended the dinner at the Manchester Marriott Victoria and Albert and were treated to a night of entertainment and opportunities to network.
Comedians Rod Woodward and Kevin Connolly delivered lively sets, while brothers Nicholas and Andrew Howarth both gave insightful speeches about the history of the company, where it was revealed the company will be opening a new branch in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
In his speech, Nicholas praised Howarth Timber’s suppliers and the role they play in the ongoing success of the business. He said: “We recognise the importance of having strong and mutually beneficial relationships with our suppliers.
“We value suppliers that enable us to offer good quality and ethical products to our customers, at competitive prices and with high levels of customer service.”
The evening also saw more than £5,500 raised for Howarth Timber’s partner charity, Caudwell Children, through a silent raffle and donations from guests.
