ForgeFix supports Sheffield Wednesday FC’s community programme

ForgeFix, distributors of fixings, fasteners and associated products, has announced that it is working with Sheffield Wednesday FC’s Community Programme (SWFCCP) to help bring about greater opportunity and business experience for young people in the Sheffield area.

SWFCCP is the football club’s charitable arm, established to support the development of cohesive community provision in the wider Sheffield area.

As part of ForgeFix’s Community Programme they will be offering young people, and those not in full time education employment or training (NEETs), with opportunities to visit the companies Bessemer Park site on a series of open days to experience firsthand the business operations and facilities. As part of the programme, ForgeFix will also be offering employment workshops helping young people with their CVs as well as interview techniques.

Michael Brown, CEO of Galleon Fixings the parent company of ForgeFix, comments: “As a born and bred Sheffielder it’s fantastic to be able to support the SWFCCP and help youngsters from across the city to find meaningful experience as they seek career options. ForgeFix is committed to the region and supporting the community in which we trade.  Working through the platform offered by Sheffield Wednesday we can put back and help develop the next generation of workers.”
