Staff at sealants, adhesives and building chemicals company Everbuild Building Products spent the last weekend working hard for their chosen charity for 2012 – The Haven.
The Haven offers completely free therapies to help people deal with the physical and emotional side effects of breast cancer in a safe and calm environment at its Leeds centre.
32 Everbuild staff members took part The Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge in two teams: Mammoth and Gator. Team Gator won the race and managed an impressive 5th place overall.
The following morning, the braver members of staff completed the Jane Tomlinson Leeds 10K Run. Again in aid of the Haven, seven members of Everbuild’s production team completed the race, times varied from a speedy 55 minutes to a less than shabby 1hour and 15 minutes and all had a very enjoyable day!
In total Everbuild have raised over £3,000 for The Haven, well over their target amount.
