CRASH announced it has appointed Trisha Pickersgill as its chief executive, who will start the role May 1 2024.
Pickersgill has 18 years’ experience in hospice management and care, having held several senior roles at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice (RGP) most recently, as director of business development, operations and performance.
She added: “The generosity of the CRASH Corporate Patrons, offering their expertise, products and annual donations saves charities significant sums, and ensures valuable monies are spent on delivering their vital services. The work CRASH and the Corporate Patron companies do is invaluable to the charity sector as they do not have access to the specialist skills that CRASH, and their network of Corporate Patrons can provide.
“CRASH is a charity I have an inordinate amount of respect for and admire how much they achieve with such a small, dedicated team. I am thrilled and delighted to have been successful in the recruitment process and hope that CRASH can continue to go from strength to strength supporting homelessness and hospice projects long into the future.”
CRASH has worked with Rennie Grove Hospice since 2017, supporting two construction projects; the major refurbishment of its ground floor day hospice and design and build of a car park extension.
John O’Grady, chairman at CRASH, commented: “The Board of Trustees extend a warm welcome to Trisha Pickersgill as she joins the CRASH team as chief executive. I am confident that Trisha’s knowledge of the hospice sector will put her in a good position to unite the construction industry to help homeless and hospice charities with their buildings. I look forward to working closely with Trisha and the future of CRASH under her leadership.”
