Malvern-based independent builders merchant County Building Supplies has launched a brand new environmental showroom.
To celebrate the opening the company has arranged for a mobile exhibition to be located at the new County Eco showroom for the next two weeks (until October 21).
The exhibition will highlight the latest energy-saving technologies for both new and existing buildings. Some of the exhibits on show include a working shower where visitors can test the temperature difference of the water using a solar panel and without.
And, says director and co-founder Martyn Rees, the company is putting their money where their mouth is with a new solar panel being installed to power the heating at the site and the conversion of the company’s entire fleet of vehicles to Biodiesel.
Mr Rees told BuildersMerchantsJournal.net that this was an area the company simply “had to get into” as demand from their customers increasingly included more environmentally-friendly options.
