Chandlers adds to vehicle fleet

Independent builders merchant Chandlers Building Supplies has upgraded its vehicle fleet.

Chandlers adds to vehicle fleet

The new Toyota Dyna truck will work out of the company’s Petworth branch in West Sussex.

It will provide the business with greater efficiency and flexibility thanks to features such as drop sides which allow the vehicle to be loaded and offloaded with a forklift truck.

In addition, the flat bed vehicle functionality means that a more diverse range of products can be transported more effectively than ever before, enabling Chandlers to fulfil order requirements that previously were not possible.

The new vehicle also has an increased capacity and is able to carry up to 1.2 tonnes at any one time. This will allow Chandlers to combine deliveries where possible, reducing returns to the branch thus lowering carbon emissions.

Richard Skinner, Chandlers’ commercial director said: “The addition of the Toyota Dyna to our vehicle fleet means we are able build on the extensive list of services we are already able to offer to customers and contribute to a greener transport system.”
