Capita have announced the name of the new gas installer registration scheme which will take over from the outgoing Corgi scheme next year.
The new brand is Gas Safe Register and will take over from the high profile Corgi brand from April 1.
Capita have acknowledged that they face a challenge in creating a high level of householder awareness for the brand. They say they are aiming for 40% unprompted recognition of the new brand after six months.
A consumer publicity campaign is planned to raise public awareness of the brand.
