Build Center helps hospice

Builders merchant Build Center has donated materials to help a Northamptonshire hospice with its fundraising target.

The Lakelands Day Care Hospice in Corby aims to raise £450 000 and the Market Harborough branch of Build Center donated plywood to the hospice that has been used to craft wheelbarrows and planters to be sold at the Lakelands Emporium in Corby town centre.

The annual Summer Fete took place on the grounds of the hospice on Sunday June 19. The wheelbarrows and planters were sold alongside craft stalls, a handbag and jewellery stall, a bouncy castle and more.

Andy Chambers, branch manager said: “The Lakelands Hospice does outstanding work in the local community and we are delighted to play a part in helping them to reach their fundraising target.”
