Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Builders merchants Bradfords, and Jewson, as well as landscaping supplier Talasey were the top winners at the BMJ Industry Awards 2024, on Friday (September 27), winning three, two and two awards each, respectively.
The event was held at the Grand Connaught Rooms, in Covent Garden, hosted by TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith.
Bradfords walked away with the prizes in the Multiple Merchant, Merchant Marketing Initiative, and Indepdendent Rising Star of the Year – Sam White. Talasey was named Landscaping Supplier of the Year, while marketing director Rebecca Hughes was crowned Industry Personality of the Year. Jewson marketing manager Siobhan Lewis won the Maddie Rose Rising Star award, and the merchant also won Timber Merchant of the Year.
James Burrell Builders Merchants won the Independent Merchant of the Year 8 – 21 Branches, Beers Timber & Building Supplies Ltd was Small Merchant of the Year 1 – 8 Branches, Huws Gray was National Merchant of the Year. Merchant Enviromental Initiative of the Year went to C&W Berry, while the Plumbing & Heating Merchant of the Year was BBS Plumbing & Heating Supplies.
E-commerce Initiative of the Year was won by Travis Perkins, and the Landscaping Display award went to Elliotts for its Lymington display. JT Atkinson Builders Merchant won the Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom of the Year. Unilin Flooring’s Kelly Ball was Supplier Account Manager of the Year.
