AI takes on Eddie

Building materials supplier Aggregate Industries UK has taken on Eddie Stobart as its Concrete Products division’s new logistics supply partner.

AI takes on Eddie

From this October, logistics for Aggregate Industries’ Concrete Products division will transfer to Eddie Stobart’s manufacturing and industrial business unit. The new five-year contract, awarded following an extensive tender, will see the haulier carrying Bradstone, Charcon and Masterblock products from 14 UK sites using a combination of specialist curtain-siders, flat trailers and mechanical off-load vehicles.

This strategic partnership with Eddie Stobart will enable Aggregate Industries to provide a more personalised and flexible service.

The varied nature of the work requires a very flexible haulage partner with specialist resources and equipment – a key reason why Eddie Stobart was chosen. Eddie Stobart’s intelligent planning strategies and systems and transparent operation are supported by the very latest in-cab telematics systems, providing industry-leading accuracy and real time load information. This enables Aggregate Industries to monitor arrivals and deliveries for customers and better plan on-site schedules for increased efficiency.
