Grafton Merchanting GB takes the credit

Builders merchant group Grafton Merchanting GB is taking advantage of under the government’s Trade Credit Enterprise Finance Guarantee (TCEFG) scheme.
The initiative extends Grafton’s current Trade Credit Account terms across all businesses in its 400-strong national branch network — which includes Buildbase, Civils and Lintels, Hirebase, Plumbase, Electricbase and Jacksons — as part of the government-backed pilot scheme, which is available until 31st March 2014.

This means credit provision will be available to a wider group of construction trade professionals who might otherwise have struggled to secure credit under the company’s existing credit policy through lack of proven track record or insufficient credit rating.

It also means that the business can extend credit limits where appropriate.

The Builders Merchants Federation offers a similar scheme to its members using the same government scheme.
