Web works for building businesses

Builders who actively use the internet to market their business and gain enquiries plan to grow their businesses at double the rate of those businesses currently not online, says a recent report about UK SMEs.
The study, which surveyed more than 3,000 SMEs found that those businesses which were web-savvy planned to grow their businesses by an average of 41% compared with just 20% for businesses who focus solely on bricks rather than clicks.

Internet-enabled builders get an average of 24% of their enquiries from online and are far more likely to be taking market share from their rivals, according to the report.

However, interestingly there appears to be a divide in perception about the internet within the industry as a further 24% of builders said the internet had no potential for their business.
