W.Howard Pillo has become a member of the Alliance of Sustainable Building Products (ASBP).
By joining the ASBP, W.Howard Pillo, the new subsidiary of W.Howard, aims to play an active role in encouraging responsible material choices and promoting the circular economy across construction.
the company recently launched its new natural loose-fill insulation, Pillo wood fibrefollowing a long period of research and collaboration with MDF Recovery, based in Manchester. The product, manufactured in Newtown, Wales, transforms recovered MDF fibres into a wood-fibre insulation that is entirely natural and recyclable. The process makes it possible to separate and clean waste MDF fibres so they can be reused as insulation material.
Group commercial director, Simon Fleet, said “Membership of the ASBP is an important milestone for us. It allows us to engage with like-minded organisations that share our belief in the need for sustainable, practical solutions for modern construction. We are proud to have introduced an energy-efficient product that gives new life to waste MDF and helps reduce the industry’s reliance on virgin resources. Pillo demonstrates how thoughtful design and responsible manufacturing can turn a challenge into an opportunity for genuine progress.”
