TP’s Ransome revs up for Alzheimer’s Society fundraising

Damian Ransome, a learning and development manager at Travis Perkins Hire, is getting set to ride to as many as 80 locations across the UK, to fulfil the rules of the Brit Butt Tour, which sees motorcyclists undertake the challenge of visiting as many of those locations as they can in that time frame, raising money for Travis Perkins’ charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society.

Last year, Ransome rode over 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats in less than 24 hours, raising over £3,000 for charity, and says: “The 2024 campaign is not just about pushing my physical limits but driving awareness and funding towards Alzheimer’s research and support services. Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects millions worldwide and requires urgent attention and resources. By combining my passion for motorcycle riding with this cause, I want to make a substantial impact.

“Last year’s ride was a testament to what we can achieve when we come together for a cause. This year, I’m dedicating my ride to Alzheimer’s Society, hoping to surpass last year’s fundraising total and shine a light on the importance of supporting research and care towards dementia.”

Sponsors will have the unique opportunity to align with a noble cause while gaining visibility through various promotional efforts. This initiative offers a platform for sponsors to demonstrate their commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
