TP add 13 in first month of 2008!

Travis Perkins has started 2008 with a bang by continuing their expansion of the branch network, adding 13 new branches in the first five weeks of the year.
The branches include eight brownfield openings and five acquisitions. Aggregate consideration for these acquisitions and investment in the brownfield openings is expected to be £20m, with an estimated £24m contributed to turnover in their first 12 months of trading.

Geoff Cooper, Group Chief Executive said: “On a like-for-like basis, the Group is growing ahead of market growth rates. Our proven operational efficiency enables us to pursue a value accretive expansion policy, both through our brownfield programme and through selective acquisition of good merchanting businesses where there are a number of attractive opportunities for the Group.”
