Toolstation raisesover £3,000 for charity partner British Heart Foundation (BHF)

Toolstation colleagues have raised over £3,000 for charity partner British Heart Foundation (BHF) in a fundraiser inspired by hit BBC show ‘Race Across the World’.

On June 11, a team of Toolstation Head Office colleagues competed against the Senior Leadership Team in a race across London only using public transport, visiting as many shops as possible to gain additional points.

Extra challenges included visiting British Heart Foundation stores, serving customers, and getting as many donations as possible through Pennies, the micro-donation charity.

The Senior Leadership Team who eventually came out on top, scoring the highest. The fundraiser exceeded its £2,000 target by 174%, raising a total of £3,440 for British Heart Foundation.

Chris Other, customer director at Toolstation, commented “While we didn’t have to travel across the world, the busy streets of London were still difficult to navigate! It was a fantastic day which raised a huge amount of money and provided a brilliant team bonding experience.

“By partnering with British Heart Foundation, we are taking direct action to help support both our colleagues and customers. In addition to our commitment to CPR training, our teams will continue to oversee fundraising events such as these to help protect the hearts of the tradespeople who do so much for our communities.”
