Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
Builders merchant group Sydenhams has acquired Staverton Building Supplies based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Staverton’s, a single branch merchant, will begin trading as Sydenhams from January 4.
Sydenhams managing director Lee Wright said the company is delighted to welcome Staverton Building Supplies to the Sydenhams group. “Stavertons are a fantastic well-run independent merchant with a very loyal customer base and we look forward to continuing their good work and growing the business to enhance both the service and product range that they currently offer.”
Mark Hanks and Mansell Husselbee, partners of Staverton Building Supplies added that they are proud to have achieved great success with Staverton since its inception in 2006 and are thrilled that the acquisition by Sydenhams.
This acquisition brings Sydenhams to 32 sites across the South including Timber & Builders Merchants, Specialist Timber Centres, Kitchen & Bathroom Showrooms, Tool & Plant Hire and Timber Engineering.
