Wolseley-owned plumbing and heating merchants William Wilson, will open a new branch on Skye this month.
The new 3,500sq ft warehouse is in Portree and will be managed by Lachie Gillies, and staffed with three full-time staff members. A same-day delivery service will be available throughout the island.
Mr Gillies said “I’m really looking forward to the challenge of growing our business on Skye. I have strong personal connections to the area and the local business community, and I welcome the opportunity to deliver first class service to the businesses on Skye.”
William Wilson sales and operations director Robin Mackinlay commented, “I’m delighted to welcome Lachie and his team to William Wilson. We’ve made a considerable investment in our new branch and I feel the commitment we’ve made will be reciprocated by our existing customers on Skye and by new customers alike. This new branch will focus on delivering the service expected by its local customer base”
The company now operates 26 outlets across the UK.
