Salamander Pumps up business development team

Sunderland-based Salamander Pumps, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of shower and domestic water pumps, has appointed Lee Dunphy as Business Development Manager, following a successful year of growth for the company.

Dunphy recently joined Salamander after leaving his role at A E Spink merchants,where he worked in sales for 17 years. With a wealth of experience in building new, and strengthening existing client relations, his new role will see him responsible for managing and maintaining existing business in the North as well as Scotland.

Dunphy will be working closely with Salamander’s National Sales Manager, Adam Brand, as well as National Accounts Manager, Simon Platts and the other Business Development Managers, in order to fulfil his client’s requirements.

He comments: “Whilst in the process of searching for a new career opportunity, I got a really positive feeling from Salamander. Although it isn’t a family-run business, it has a real close-knit feel, which appealed to me when choosing a new workplace.
