Richard Burbidge agrees contract with Fortis

Stairparts and moulding manufacturer Richard Burbidge has signed a contract with merchant buying group Fortis.
The contract incorporates the supply of stairparts, mouldings and outdoor balustrade range, with the new partnership making it easier for independent merchants to access Richard Burbidge products.

Fortis is an independent mixed merchant buying group and has 38 member companies across the country, with a combined annual turnover of £1.0bn.

Mark Wood, director of business development at Richard Burbidge, said: “We are delighted to join forces with the Fortis group and are very excited about the opportunity this presents in terms of developing strong relationships and maximising combined business opportunities over an extended period of time.”

Andy Griffiths from Boys & Boden, a member of Fortis, said: “Richard Burbidge products are already used widely across the independent merchant sector, and are renowned for producing high-quality products. The partnership allows Fortis members to work closer with the manufacturer and will provide more opportunity to sell Richard Burbidge’s wide range of products.”
