This year, timber specialist Ransfords is marking 150 years in business, having supplied British timber from its Bishop’s Castle sawmill site in Shropshire since 1876.
The business supplies a wide range of timber products including fencing and landscaping products, cladding, highways timber, acoustic fencing and timber for pallet and packaging manufacture.
Ransfords has continued to invest in capability and operational resilience, citing more than £30m of investment in recent years. It describes a focus on British-grown timber, sustainable practices and zero waste manufacturing, alongside ongoing investment in sawmilling, kiln drying and treatment processes.
Sales director at Ransfords, Chris Offa, says “We’ve always believed that great timber deserves great service. After 150 years, that belief still guides everything we do, from how we source and treat our timber to how we support customers day-to-day.”
