P&R Building Supplies joins NBG

Leicestershire-based merchant P&R Building Supplies has joined National Buying Group as a Partner. Family-owned P&R has been in business since 1983, selling landscaping and gardening supplies, plumbing and drainage products along with general building supplies. It has branches in Coalville and Loughborough.

Managing Director, Lee Glover says: “Although it was immediately clear that NBG was what we were looking for when we first met with NBG’s New Partner Development and Recruitment Manager, Phil Bonar, but we knew we weren’t quite ready to make the leap. Phil kept in touch and visited the branch and when the time was right, we started the process officially. What we want now is to grow our customer-base and product lines and, ultimately, our profits, and with guidance from NBG the path ahead is a lot clearer.”

Bonar adds: “Introducing merchants to the buying power of NBG is always a pleasure. P&R is a well-established merchant which was already growing under its own steam. We’re excited to see the team’s progress as they benefit from our deals and business support.”
