Tom McElkerney, managing director of plumbers merchant Plumbase, has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.
Plumbase is part of Grafton Merchanting GB, the umbrella company that includes most of Grafton Group’s UK merchanting interests.
GMGB managing director Kevin Middleton told staff: “It is with regret I announce the departure of Tom McElkerney from his position as managing director of Plumbase. Tom has indicated his decision to stand down from the position for personal reasons and to pursue other business interests.
“Tom has been managing director of Plumbase for three years and has helped Grafton to consolidate its position in the UK plumbing heating and sanitaryware markets. We wish Tom well in his future endeavours.”
