MKM has partnered with manufacturer Symphony to showcase their Freedom range of Kitchens, which are specifically designed to support independent living for family members with disability needs, which is available across the whole of Scotland.
The company has adapted versions of existing kitchens, Symphony’s Freedom range is built around the end user from the outset. To highlight this offering, MKM Edinburgh has installed a unique display pod that showcases all the products.
MKM Edinburgh Kitchen and Bathroom Designer, Mark Tait, said: “From our first meeting regarding the Freedom range, we appreciated the passion, consideration and craft that has gone into its creation.
“Standard kitchens are not accessible for everyone, and we all know this, so what we wanted to do was make sure that anyone who needed a kitchen space adapted to their needs was able to come and see the best on offer at our branch.”
The Freedom range’s key features include electronic rise and fall worktops, accessible sinks and ovens with a pull-out heatproof shelf.
Tait also said: “This is an exciting moment for us because we are the only merchant in Scotland currently to have these on display. We are looking forward to welcoming our customers to the showcase.”
The range has been created in collaboration with Adam Thomas Consultancy, the UK’s leading designer of accessible kitchens.
