This year’s BMF (Builders Merchants Federation) MasterMerchant competition saw teams from merchants and suppliers take on a series of physical challenges over one of the hottest weekends of the year.
The contest took place in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, saw teams try their hand at canyoning and caving, after scaling rocky outcrops as temperatures hit 29 degrees Celcius.
The winning team was ‘Colman’s Crusaders’ from MKM Building Supplies (Norwich), who topped the table for the first time in 10 years.
Stephen Lee, who has run the event for the BMF for almost four decades, commented: “It’s been a delight to watch so many people from within the Building Materials Industry make so many strong relationships and amazing memories together while having such a great time.”
MasterMerchant will return to the Lake District for its 40th anniversary next year. Merchants can register their interest now by emailing Stacey.Lock@bmf.org.uk
