Builders Merchants Journal – BMJ Publishing to Builders Merchants and the UK merchanting industry for more than 95 years
MKM, the builders’ merchant celebrating its 30th birthday this year, has secured a 10-year lease extension on its site on Stoneferry Road, Hull.
The agreement extends MKM’s total lease commitment at the 3.6-acre site to 21 years, underlining the critical role the site plays, including acting as the company’s central support base.
Founded in Hull in 1995, MKM has grown to 135 branches across the UK and continues to expand. The long-term commitment at Stoneferry Road demonstrates the site’s importance to MKM’s future growth.
MKM marketing director, Nicola Ollett, said: “Stoneferry Road has been at the heart of MKM’s growth story since day one. As we continue to grow, this site remains a key home for our Central Support team. Extending the lease reinforces our long-term commitment to Hull and secures the future of a location that continues to drive real commercial value.
