Merchant shares benefit from boiler scrappage plans

Stock prices for publically quoted builders and plumbers merchants are benefitting from the news of the Boiler Scrappage Scheme as traders believe that the scheme will mean increased sales.
BSS Group yesterday rose 9p to 267p, Wolseley was up 61p to £13.61, but Travis Perkins, with less of a marketshare in boilers than the other two, slipped 12.5p to 828.5p.
