The Mayor of Cheltenham, Councillor Steve Harvey, visited Travis Perkins’ new branch in Cheltenham following the builders merchants’ site relocation. At 2.5 acres, the site includes a Benchmarx kitchen showroom, a new plumbing, heating and bathroom range, and a tool hire service.
The site is a low-carbon branch and it boasts solar panels, electric charging points, electric forklift trucks and a heat source pump. The new site contributes to Travis Perkins’ plans to decarbonize its fleet and become a net-zero carbon producer.
The Mayor of Cheltenham, Councillor Steve Harvey said: “I was absolutely delighted to be invited to open the revitalised and updated Travis Perkins Branch in Mead Road. My appreciation goes to Sean Watson for the tour and meeting so many enthusiastic staff.”
Travis Perkins’ branch manager, Sean Watson, said: “We’re really excited to be opening the doors to our newly relocated site. At 2.5 acres the site is huge and will serve as a one-stop shop for everyone’s building and construction needs. We’re situated in a really ideal location that will serve the local community.”
