A team of 22 from Keyline Builders Merchants has raised nearly £10,000 for Prostate Cancer UK after taking on the 42-mile North Yorkshire Lyke Wake Walk.

The charity challenge took place on Friday 5th July with the first nine miles completed in an impressive four hours. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the group faced a 14 mile stage across the toughest part of the moors carrying their additional supplies and with no track to follow.
One team member damaged his ankle trekking in complete darkness, but battled on for a further eight miles until they reached the pick up point.
Allan Wright, Keyline regional director for the North East and team member, said: “This was a monumental task for the entire team; exhausted bodies, sore feet and tired minds couldn’t deter from the amazing sense of personal achievement we felt crossing that finish line.
“Thank you to everyone for taking part and for all of the support we received in raising such a fantastic total.”
Prostate Cancer UK is the official partner charity of Keyline.
