National builders’ merchant Jewson has rebranded its Build Aviator service, relaunching it as Project Estimator, an estimating service to help its customers save time in the planning stages of their projects.
The revised service enables customers to share the floor plans, section drawings, elevations and specification for their project and receive a comprehensive set of reports.

Compiled by a UK-based team of ex-trade estimators, the reports include a detailed breakdown of all materials, plant and labour required to complete the project, alongside a condensed, customisable version, which can be personalised with their branding and shared with their clients to help win the work.
Once plans are submitted to Project Estimator, reports are turned around in less than five working days and feature accurate, live material costs from Jewson to provide builders and tradespeople with the most up-to-date prices and help them make savings. The reports can be adapted to include personalised labour rates and mark up margins.
Users of Project Estimator can take advantage of Co-Pilot, an online portal which stores all their project reports in one easy-to-access space.
Andrew Ellis, managing director of Project Estimator, said: “Project Estimator is designed to support those who might usually spend hours producing quotes for potential customers, which inevitably takes up valuable time and money that could instead be spent doing the building work itself. Put simply, it’s a more effective way to plan and quote for new business. Users of the service can interact directly with our estimating experts, who truly understand the needs of modern builders and tradespeople, and access all the insight and information required to secure their next project. Our customers who are familiar with Build Aviator will experience the same great levels of service, but with a clearer offering to ensure they can save money and time when bidding for work and ultimately win more business.”
