James Burrell to further invest in Yorkshire with branch renovation

Independent Merchant, James Burrell is continuing its investment into Yorkshire with a six-figure renovation of its York branch.

The purpose of the renovation is to further evolve the high levels of customer service, improve the customer facilities and increase the stock range available.

The branch, which opened in 1997 serves York and surrounding areas including Harrogate, Wetherby, Pocklington, Easingwold, Tadcaster and Selby.

Richard Day, Regional Sales Manager, said: “Our York branch is one of the oldest in our branch network and we have a long-standing, successful relationship with the trade in the local area. Many of our customers have traded with us for years and we are really looking forward to enhancing the services we can offer. Operations will continue as normal, and we look forward to showcasing the renovated branch in the Summer.”

Alongside York, the company has 10 other branches. These are strategically placed at Bishop Auckland, Gateshead, Morpeth, Newcastle, Ossett, Stockton, Sunderland, Rotherham, with the most recent addition being a £4.5m investment at Billingham.
