Family-run builders’ merchants James Burrell has invested £600k in its transport fleet purchasing four HGV wagons, a flatbed wagon and one additional crane vehicle.
The builders merchant, who has 11 branches based across the North of England from Northumberland down to South Yorkshire have invested in the arrival of the new fleet to meet the growing customer demand from across the area, while continuing to provide top-quality delivery service.
In addition to the company’s transport investment, the merchant has also added a number of new forklifts to the business at a value of £400K totalling to a huge investment of £1m since Nov’22.
The company has also invested £2 million into their fleet back in May 2022 which saw the new additions of ‘Euro 6’ emission standard HGV wagons, a tractor unit and trailers for internal stock transfers.
James Burrell’s investments align with the company’s mission to minimise its carbon footprint. The company are dedicated to migrate all current forklifts to state-of-the-art electric forklifts throughout the business with planned future investments, showcasing its commitment to sustainability.
