Highbourne Group appoints new Chief Commercial Officer

City Plumbing, part of Highbourne Group, has appointed Liz Taylor as its new Chief Commercial Officer, as part of the senior leadership team.

Taylor joins Highbourne Group with more than 20 years of commercial experience, bringing a retail perspective to the merchanting industry from her different roles including, most recently, commercial director at Morrisons. Prior to that, she spent over eight years at Marks & Spencer and nine years at Asda.

Taylor will report directly to Highborne Group’s CEO, Dave Evans, and reporting into her will be Dominic Sarkar, commercial director; Steve Smith, managing director of The Bathroom Showroom; and Hemal Morjaria, managing director of Renewables, Electrical and Site Temp.

Evans said: “Within a challenging market backdrop, across the Highbourne Group, we continue to make great progress on our core strategic initiatives whilst taking market share across all sectors. Liz joining our leadership team will add further impetus to this momentum, and I look forward to working with her and utilising her fabulous commercial experience and skills.”

Taylor said: “I’m delighted to be a part of the team that will strengthen Highbourne Group’s offering, and using the experience I’ve gained over the years, meet the complex and ever-changing requirements of its vast customer portfolio.”
