Grafton launch online merchant training

Builders and plumbers merchant group Grafton Merchanting GB is launching its new-look online training academies this month.
Run for the group by training provider Cortexa, these will deliver on-line training to over 3,000 staff across 600 branches nationwide.

Paul Kelly, category marketing director at Cortexa said: “We have been working hard over the last six months to develop an experience for front-line staff that can be customised to mirror merchant promotions. The new look academy will reflect key seasonal merchandising needs and ensure that staff have the right training offered to them at the right time.”

Cortexa’s merchant academies provide multi-media, on-line training from over 70 UK building materials manufacturers such as Worcester Bosch, Hanson, Makita, Jeld Wen, Isover, Marshalls and Hepworth. As well as product training, the group will use the academy to deliver a video based

briefings to branch staff.

Kevin Middleton, Managing Director of Grafton Merchanting GB said “Our online academy enables us to expand our commitment to staff training while at the same time reducing our carbon footprint.”
