CCF go Commando for charity

A team from interior building products distributor CCF has beaten the Commando Challenge to raise over £12,000 for the Happy Days Children’s Charity.

CCF go Commando for charity

Set in the Lake District, the twenty two strong team from CCF branches around the country tackled a number of physical tasks which form part of standard Royal Marine training including 16.5km of canoeing, a 10km climb to the top of Helvellyn mountain and a 20km bike ride, all in less than twelve hours.

CCF has been supporting Happy Days for over three years. The children’s charity provides holidays and days out for disadvantaged young people aged 3 to 17 with special needs.

Steve Quarrington, regional director of CCF South West and challenge participant, said: “We encourage all our staff to support Happy Days Children’s Charity as much as possible and we’re proud to be associated with the cause and the positive impact it has on young people across the country. To raise over £12,000 is an amazing achievement by all involved and they should be delighted with what they have accomplished.
