BSS go spare with Direct Heating

Plumbing and heating merchant group BSS Group plc have bought Direct Heating Spares from the Gough family shareholders for £5.7m.

DHS are leading wholesalers and distributors of spare parts to the heating industry. For the 12 months ended 31 March 2009 revenue was £10.5m.

BSS group chief executive Gavin Slark said: “We are delighted to have bought DHS. It is a high quality business and significantly enhances our customer proposition in the substantial and growing parts market.”

PTS, the group’s domestic plumbing and heating merchant, have been working with DHS for three years, offering spares via PTS trade counters. PTS will continue to trade autonomously with DHS.
