Darts legend Bobby George was there to open the MKM Wigan branch, as MKM continues to launch new sites in 2023.
The Wigan branch will offer a product range focused on serving the local community, backed up by a team of industry experts. The branch will be run by Gary Graham and Stuart Fazackerley, who bring more than five decades of experience to the builders’ merchant.
Graham said: “The chance to bring our skills and experience to MKM was the perfect opportunity and we are delighted with how things have started.
“What really sets us apart is the MKM model, which allows us to be in control of our own destiny and support our customers in the way we feel is best.”
In line with MKM’s commitment to support communities and charities, MKM Wigan is pledging support to the Rainbow Ward. They are a service, from the Royal Albert Edward infirmary, that support sick children and their families.
“I know first hand how crucial the work that the team at the Rainbow Ward carries out is to our community,” said Fazackerley. “We are delighted to provide them with a donation to mark our launch and will be offering continued support as we move forward.”
Heather Dineley, ward manager at the Rainbow Ward, thanked MKM for choosing them to be the recipient of their donations.
