Beesley & Fildes has announced the builder’s merchant will be sponsoring Rainford Band. Rainford Band is based in the village of Rainford, close to St Helens, in the heart of Beesley & Fildes’ network of 11 branches. After hearing the band needed a sponsor, John Beesley, Beesley and Fildes’ chairman, offered to support the musicians.
John Beesley, said: “As a family business that has served customers across Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester for generations, we have always been committed to supporting local communities too.
“Rainford Band is not only a very accomplished group of musicians who are helping to maintain brass band traditions in the region, it is also a charity that brings people together to perform and enjoy music. We’re delighted to be able offer them financial support that will enable them to develop talent and compete.”
The new partnership will bring Beesley & Fildes into contact with Rainford Band’s network of fans and supporters. It builds on the company’s existing programme of support for local charities and community initiatives. The builder’s merchant is also hoping to invite the band to play at events across its branch network.
Rainford Band chairman, Geoff Hunter, said: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Beesley and Fildes. With the uncertainties over the last couple of years this will enable us to continue in our quest for musical excellence, giving us a firm financial base for the future.
“The partnership will also open up new audiences for us by supporting the charitable causes backed by Beesley and Fildes and various corporate events.”
