Arc-Gen acquire Hilta Plant

Following consolidation of the plant hire sector, Arc-Gen, have acquired water pump and pressure washer manufacturer Hilta Plant Ltd from the Flowplant Group Ltd for an undisclosed sum.

Hilta Plant will continue to operate from their West Bromwich facility with the existing management team and staff all remaining in place.

Mark Hodgkins, chief executive of Arc-Gen, said: “This is a significant and strategic move for our company. As the plant hire industry is consolidating rapidly, it is inevitable the supplier base will need to follow suit to meet the ever-changing requirements of the customer, which are of paramount importance to us.

“Many major rental companies are looking to work with fewer suppliers and this acquisition will broaden the Arc-Gen product range and enable us to develop our relationships with existing and new customers alike.”
