Travis Perkins appoints category marketing director

Builders merchant group Travis Perkins plc has appointed Norman Bell to the position of category marketing director.

Bell is currently the managing director of Travis Perkins’ south west division. In this new role, which he takes up on October 1, he will work with the managing directors of the Group’s businesses and central functions to develop and put in place customer-led plans for each brand/category.

John Carter, Chief Operating Officer, Travis Perkins Group, said: “Norman’s previous retail, general management, strategy, finance and marketing experience, combined with his more recent understanding of merchanting, made him the ideal choice for this key new role.”
