SR Timber has unveiled a new logo and branding as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations. The new branding is on show throughout its literature and on a new website at sr-timber.co.uk
The new strapline, ‘Our Gold Standard – Correctly graded batten you can trust’, feeds off the company’s long-standing commitment to making batten that is consistently sized in width and thickness and performs as it should, that is correctly graded to BS 5534, sustainably sourced.

Co-founder Shaun Revill says: “When SR Timber was born, it was created to make the correct product. From when a factory graded batten was first introduced for roofing works – to when BS 5534 changed in 2014, it has been my mantra to ensure only correct graded batten, such as SRT GOLD®, was and is imported and supplied throughout the roofing industry, so that customers , no matter the size of the project, remain compliant.”
The SR Timber Gold Standard, is the company’s benchmark for correctly graded batten, and SRT GOLD® batten meets it. The new look was created to continue championing correct batten standards. SRT GOLD® is fully compliant with relevant Codes of Practice BS 5534 and BS 8417 (treated to Use Class 2), is kiln-dried, correctly sized and graded. It also holds the Wood Protection Association’s approved product status and is CCPI-assessed 005300068/0626.
Revill continues: “The new company logo and SRT GOLD® logo better reflect SR Timber today. The logos are clearly more modern, with strong colourways too, but it is the underlying brand pillars that encapsulate the business. We are roofing batten specialists; we set the benchmark for batten in the UK market, and we continue to lead and inform with knowledge. We have always supplied our customers with the ‘correct’ product, and we geared our whole business around this, ensuring that we can control the production of the product from root to roof. It is what sets us apart. It is the right thing to do to ensure quality and safety for British roofers.”
