Plumbers merchant Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, has opened a new branch in Paycocke Way, Basildon.
The new branch is the 14th Plumb Centre location in Essex, opened to the public in a ribbon cutting by the Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Allan Davies.
Attendees included local customers and suppliers including Ideal, Grundfos and Polypipe, who hosted product demonstrations and giveaways.

Also in attendance, was a representative of Renewable Equipment Solutions (R.E.S), a Wolseley Group acquisition, and a design and installation support partner for Wolseley’s Renewables Centre, who will be working closely with the new branch.
Wolseley Group COO, John Hancock, said: “This new branch is part of our continued investment in rolling out new format Plumb Centres across most large towns and cities in the UK. What we find with plumbers and heating engineers is proximity, i.e. being in their locality, is really important. Good availability for the materials they need for same day collection in these sites is really important, so we’ve created a convenient, welcoming environment with really, really good coffee, and most importantly, great people that can help them with expert advice and great customer service.”
