Paul Bence arrested…

The managing director of Cheltenham-based George Bence Builders Merchants was taken away from the office in handcuffs as part of a charity fundraising event on behalf of children’s charity Winston’s Wish.

Winston’s Wish helps children and young people rebuild their lives after the death of a parent or sibling. The support enables them to face the future with confidence and hope.

Bence was hoping to raise £2,000 *bail* for the charity, whose support services for bereaved children includes a national helpline and individual, family and group work.

He said: “Winston’s Wish is such an amazing charity and offers incredible support to youngsters at probably the worst points in their lives.”
