OB1 tanking solution to inhibit moisture

The new OB1 Waterproof Tanking Solution from Siroflex  will inhibit the passage of moisture from within tiled areas, into substrates such as plaster, render, plasterboards, tile backer boards, plyboard, suspended floors, anhydrite floors and fibre-board overlays.

Easy to apply with brush or roller, the one-part waterproof liquid tanking membrane offers a protective waterproof under-tile coating, which flexibily accommodates movement & vibration, forming a strong bond to most wall & floor surfaces.

It is uitable for use beneath immersed tiling, and can be used in showers, wet rooms and bath surrounds, bBathrooms, utility areas and laundries, kitchens and food processing areas, around swimming pools and water features and in spas, hot tubs and steam rooms.

When used in conjunction with reinforcing joint tapes and gaskets, this combination provides the added protection (in compliance with EAD 030352-00-0503) needed to bridge and cover cracks and joints where possible structural movement and vibration is likely to require sealing across wider gaps and joints over 3mm.

On a typical smooth, even surface, OB1 Waterproof Tanking Solution will cover at an optimum rate of no less than 0.5kg per m², (1.0 m² per kg as two coats) and this 7kg pack is sufficient to cover 7m² with an average and consistent finished average dry coating depth of 0.8mm +/- 0.1mm.
