Nick Sims has been appointed Managing Director of St Albans-based builder’s merchant Buttle plc. He succeeds William Naylor, who is retiring after 3 years in the post.
Sims has 30 years’ experience running multi-site sales & operational businesses within the Building Materials, Timber, Plumbing & Heating and Mechanical Services sectors. Most recently he was Managing Director of Ridgeons builders’ merchants in Cambridge.
Peter Buttle, Chairman of Buttle plc, said “William joined us in early 2014 and has since steered the business back to a very sound base for future consolidation and growth. I would like to thank him for his contribution and am very pleased to announce that he has agreed to continue on the Board of Buttle plc as a non-executive director”.
