MPH joins NBG

MPH, has joined National Buying Group (NBG), crediting improved buying power as one of the main reasons for the move; the Bristol-based merchant has been in business for 15 years and has nine branches including those in Dorset, the West Midlands, Swansea and Torquay.

Having not been part of a buying group previously, the leadership team at MPH wanted to make a change to be part of a community that supports business growth and increases its ability to secure better deals with Suppliers.MPH5

“Becoming an NBG merchant already feels like a great decision,” Chris Edwards, operations director at MPH said.

“Suppliers like Worcester Bosch are proactively coming to visit our office and having teams visit the branches. They’ve arranged training for us on renewables as well. It’s really clear that Suppliers have a lot of respect for NBG and we’re already seeing the positive impact that being an NBG Partner has on our Supplier relationships.”

Phil Bonar, new partner development and recruitment manager at NBG, added: “MPH has certainly hit the ground running with NBG. Their appreciation of the business growth we make possible and their motivation to contribute their expertise to the group is really exciting to see. We’re looking forward to seeing the team at MPH use the Partnership to accelerate themselves to further success as plumbing merchants.”
