The Builders Merchants Federation has announced that its All Industry Conference 2025 will take place in Barcelona.

The event, held every two years alternatively with the NMBS Conference, will be held from Thursday June 12 to Sunday June 15.
The venue is the Torre Melina hotel, and was announced by BMF CEO John Newcomb this afternoon (Saturday June 8) at the NMBS Conference 2024 in Limassol. The headline sponsor is Aco, and the event will be hosted by Mark Durden-Smith, who hosted in Istanbul. He is also the host of the BMJ Industry Awards 2024.
The conference theme is Building Tomorrow Together, and the BMF reports that early bird places sold out on launch day.
BMF CEO John Newcomb said: “There has been an amazing response to the announcement of our next Conference with over 30% more merchant places sold on the first day. In total 170 places were sold – 92 merchant and 78 sponsor. This is the first time we have sold out of early bird rates on the day of the launch.”
An important factor in choosing the venue was its easy access from the UK, via a number of different transport options.
Newcomb explained: “Once again, we are determined to make our 2025 Conference as sustainable as possible. With transport a major factor in global CO2 emissions, the flying time to Barcelona is much shorter than previous destinations; it is also easy to reach by train or by road. Wherever possible we will be using local suppliers, recyclable materials and reducing single use materials and printed items.”
