Leyland SDM has selected 10 finalists from the 500 entries received in its Big School Makeover competition, the vote opens on November 6 and closes on November 26.
The schools in the running must now drum up votes to be crowed champions, with one scooping £5,000 worth of product and two runners-up bagging £2,500 of product each.
Martin Hastings, CEO of Leyland SDM, said: “A huge congratulations to our 10 finalists! We had a massive response to our Big School Makeover competition so all of these schools have done exceptionally well to stand out from crowd to progress to the next round.
“A three-week voting period now begins to find our overall winner and runners-up. I’m sure all of the schools will be doing everything they can to get as many votes as they can.
“They are all very worthy finalists and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.
“We’re determined to support the communities in and around our stores and Big School Makeover gives us a chance to make a real difference to three schools in a new and exciting way.”
The finalists are: College Park School (Westminster), Greenside Primary School (Shepherds Bush), Harris Primary Academy (East Dulwich), Latchmere School (Kingston upon Thames), Oratory Primary School (Chelsea), Regent High School (Camden), Shoreditch Primary School (Shoreditch), St Mary’s Roman Catholic Primary School (Clapham), St Matthew’s Primary School (Westminster), The Ellen Wilkinson School For Girls (Acton).
The winning schools will be able to use their prize money to select any products from Leyland SDM’s extensive range, including paint from leading brands, decorating essentials, tools, timber and plumbing parts.
